CULP Home Fashions: EcoSkin Collection

During my time as an intern at CULP Home Fashions, I spent my time learning the design process for ticking designs for knit fabrics in the mattress fabric industry. Using EAT DesignScope, I was able to create two collections of fabrics.

EcoSkin is a collection intended for the sustainable and performance market. It has three different fabrics at good, better, and best price points. Each fabric is made with different gram weight, yarn diversity, and inlay to differentiate the prices and quality of each fabric. However, all of the fabrics are finished with an antimicrobial property to make the fabrics water and sweat resistant.

Pattern and concept inspiration came from the trends and textures in the performance and sustainability knit fabric market. Airy meshes, wavy organic shapes, and cell-like structures.
